Camp Homework for Tonight

Here is some of today's Camp work.  Please finish copying it into your Camp books tonight and make sure your presentation is to a high standard. Our term's virtue is Excellence and so make this your goal.

SAFETY

1) When tramping in the bush, the buddy system should be firmly established.
2) There should be an appointed person at the head, the middle and the rear of the party.
3) When tramping in the bush every tramper should have a whistle in their pack or around their neck.
4) The recognised sign is for 'Personal Emergency' is 3 blasts on a whistle.
5) Make sure the group does not become too spread.  Put the slowest members at the front with a
     leader.
6) There should be regular roll checks.
7) Have regular rests and energy giving snacks.
8) Stop at all junctions or change of directions.
9) In cold or wet conditions the leader must have courage to turn the party back to prevent the risk of
    exposure.
