Hi Rm 14,
You were awesome at Cross Country. I'm really proud of how everyone put their full effort into the race. It paid off.
While I'm on the subject of things going well - your explanations are beginning to look really good. This week we will finish writing about the bike and scooter and I'll book the Cow or Bull so you can publish them on our blog.
This week is going to be a great one. Remember that we have the Hangi on Wednesday. Who else is looking forward to it? Is anyone planning to come when its set in the ground early Tuesday morning?
Just a reminder about your Science Fair Board. You need to pay me by Wednesday! If you are working by yourself then it will cost $7.50, if you are working with a buddy then it will cost each of you $3.80, if you are in a group of 3 then it will cost $2.50 each and if you are in a group of 4 then it will cost each of you $1.90. Well done to the 3 people who paid me last week.
You need bring your P.E. uniform every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
You need bring your P.E. uniform every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
This week your homework is:
1. Maths - Study Ladder.
2. Science Fair - Work your way through the booklet and through your Fair Tests.
3. Blog - get someone to write on our blog - you might like to ask your Nana, Poppa, a parent or a friend. Make sure you tell them to say who they know (e.g. ... from Ricky, Miss K.'s cat).
Blog - write a comment or question on someone else's post on our blog.
4. Spelling - practice your words each day. You are old enough to decide whether you learn best by writing them by hand or typing them or just being verbally tested each day.
5. Art (This is Miss P.'s homework)
6. Complete your homework sheet by Friday.
7. Read - take sometime each day to enjoy a good book.
Please remember that if you don't have easy access to the internet, then you can do your online homework at school. Just book a time with me.
Have a fantastic week,
Miss K.
I'll give 3 group points to the first person who spots which sentence is missing a 'time connector' and writes what the word is. I'll give you a clue: its within the first 6 sentences.
ReplyDeleteGood luck,
Miss K.
P.S. There's a list of 'connectors' on our writing wall.
